Republican People's Party's (CHP)  Afyon candidate Burcu Köksal's words, "When I am elected, the municipality doors will be open to every party except the DEM Party" were taken to the judiciary.

Lawyer Bişar Abdi Altınak, Afyonkarahisar Cumhuriyet In his application to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, he requested that Köksal be tried and punished for "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or humiliating".

"An open threat"

Lawyer Alinak included the following information in his petition: p>

*In these days, with less than a month left until the election, the relevant statement is not only directed to its addressees with a degrading and insulting motive, but also clearly concerns the safety of those exposed to this discriminatory attitude and their equal use of public services during and after the election process in Afyonkarahisar province. posed a threat.

*In addition, Burcu Köksal's statements in question became an agenda throughout the country, causing not only those residing in Afyonkarahisar, but also those living throughout the country to face these possible dangers.

*The emergence of this result is extremely predictable, considering the political career and experience of the statement maker. Therefore, there is sufficient evidence and information to conclude that this conclusion was intended. With this statement, Burcu Köksal declared that she would base her entire campaign on systematic hostility towards DEM Party citizens. It is clear that the implicit message of this announcement, as we have seen many times in recent history, is the intention to incite threats and discrimination against Kurdish citizens and to benefit from it.

*However, with these statements of Burcu Köksal, she only targeted a group of people due to her political views. It cannot be said that it separates. It is impossible for this person, who has been a member of parliament and deputy chairman for years, not to know that his words would threaten the security of the election. In his statement, he stated that he will not run the municipality with DEM Party members.

*It is not possible to explain these words of a candidate who cannot know which party he will work with in the municipal council if he becomes mayor, other than accusing the likely candidates and voters of a crime.

Özel: They want to attribute it to CHP municipalities

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also said As the discussions continued, he made a new statement regarding Burcu Köksal's DEM Party exit in Eskişehir on March 8:

"Recently, Unfortunately, although the strongest aspect of the Republican People's Party's municipalism is equality, some circles are trying to attribute a statement made during an election speech to CHP municipalities. This is the preparation you have seen in our hands, as you know, it was a preparation that had been prepared for months and was planned to be signed for today.”

“From here, we underline it thickly once again, and since it is today, we underline it with a purple pen.
